Traveled to Rancho Palos Verde earlier this month for client work. But what I love about what I do is that I can also indulge my passion for travel, great food and wine. We stayed at the Terranea Resort Absolutely gorgeous place as my pics reflect here. The customer work went very well, and I had the opportunity to enjoy the lovely surroundings, so it certainly did not feel like work. Living the biz owner life is the way to go!
Views were simply the best. I mean, who doesn’t love the California coastline? I could literally walk out the back door of my room to a lovely patio and then was able to walk just a few steps to view the coastline from above. If you have to work, then this is the way to go. Enjoyed a tasty lunch when I arrived of calamari (Of course. I try it everywhere I go.), mussels and some lovely red wine. Nice way to perk up after a 4.5 hour flight.
One wonderful treat was watching a man who had a trained hawk who was letting the hawk fly around the area while people were taking pictures. I happened to catch him on take off.
Hawks are not only majestic but they are a very positive omen.
“Hawks are the protectors and visionaries of the Air. They hold the key to higher levels of consciousness. This power animal enables us to awakens vision and inspires a creative life purpose. Having Hawk as power animal means your life will be filled with responsibility, because Hawk people seek the overall view.” –from the Shamanic Journey website.
Bonus of the trip was being able to spend time with my brother and his girlfriend over dinner. We had a great time and it was lovely to catch up! P.F. Chang’s is always a big hit with me, and I chowed down on the Dan Dan noodles. One of my favorite dishes.
